This photograph was taken in a Buddhist temple during my visit to Seoul, South Korea this summer. In the center of the photograph is a Giwa (traditional Korean home) with Giwa ( tiled roof) surrounded by trees on either side. The landscape depicts serenity and nostalgia. It seems as if the area offered a timeless snippet of the past in a place of modernity.
